StPattysYou’re sitting at home watching television, scrolling through the channels thinking “there’s nothing on T.V,” when you remember; it’s March 16th, the day before Saint Patrick’s Day! Oh yikes, you haven’t made any St. Patty’s Day Plans. Don’t worry, you’re in Philadelphia, a city that has been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day since 1771!

Philadelphia is no stranger to celebration, and if you’re looking to get in the holiday spirit, consider getting off the couch and enjoying the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It’s the second oldest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the country, so you know you will be celebrating in style. With more than 150 groups like dance teams, marching bands, floats, and Irish associations, there is something fun for everyone.

The parade kicks off on March 16th at 1 p.m. at 16th at John F. Kennedy Boulevard, so put down that remote and head over! There is plenty of parking along the parade route, so you can leave your car in a worry free spot.
