Welcome America! Where to Park for Philadelphia's Fourth of July Celebrations!

Don’t miss Wawa Hoagie Day on July 2, 2014, which offers 4.5 tons of free hoagies at Independence Mall from every Philadelphian’s favorite convenience store – just as the Founders themselves may have marked the occasion. On July 3, you can also enjoy patriotic tunes at Independence Hall when the Philly POPS take the stage. Visit welcomeamerica.com for more fun events through the week.

Of course, Fourth of July in Philadelphia is always celebrated with the huge Welcome America concert at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Billed as the largest free concert in the country, this year’s lineup includes Nicki Minaj, The Roots, Ed Sheeran, and Jennifer Hudson.

If you’re driving into the city on the Fourth, the Independence Day Parade kicks off at 11 a.m., the Party on the Parkway gets going at noon, and the Philly 4th of July Jam takes over at 7 p.m. While there are a few modes of transportation that will get you to the festivities, nothing says independence like driving yourself. Parking at a city garage is easy—plus it’s a safe and simple way to find your car when you’re ready to go home. Happy 4th of July!
