Parking for the Thanksgiving Day Parade
Philly loves big events — and we do them well. But when you add a holiday into the mix, there’s a different festiveness in the air. Oh wait — that’s just a massive balloon from Philly’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
The Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of many Philly traditions. Since 1920, Philadelphians gather on the Parkway and watch floats, marching bands and gigantic balloons take to the streets as the holiday season officially kicks off. It’s also the perfect appetizer before stuffing your face during your Thanksgiving Feast.
On November 27, starting at 8:30 AM, the tradition will continue for the 95th time. Floats and balloons will flood the streets, and we’ll be getting an early visit by the big guy in red. No, not the Kool-Aid guy. It’s Santa!
If you and your family plan to join the festivities, let’s find you a parking spot so you don’t miss a beat. Our 18th and Callowhill lot is conveniently located blocks away from the parade’s course. But if you’d like to park elsewhere, use our parking locator to find a spot most convenient for you.
