NOTICE OF NEW REGULATIONS

The Philadelphia Parking Authority, in conjunction with its Taxicab and Limousine Division (TLD) initiated the process of amending certain of the Authority’s Taxicab and Limousine Division regulations on March 19, 2008.  The intent of the Proposed Amendments was to address certain provisions that have evidenced a clear need for alteration through the  TLD’s experience since the introduction of the existing Regulations in March of 2005.

The Authority Board found that the Proposed Amendments will advance the purposes of Act 94 of 2004, to serve the public good, and continue to enhance the work environment of the Taxicab and Limousine Industry members in the city of Philadelphia.

On July 29, 2008 the Authority Board accepted the Amendments as proposed and declared the effective date to be August 1, 2008.

A full set of the Regulations, incorporating the newly adopted Amendments can be found under “Approved Regulations” on the Tool Bar of the Taxicab and Limousine Website.
