Old City Night Life Special
Why visit Old City? Whelp, depending on your cup of tea, there are countless reasons. Take a look at them below, and then we’ll talk about finding you a cheap parking spot.
Old City is dubbed America’s most historic square mile — and there’s a reason. Around every block, history books come to life with national treasures such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and Betsy Ross’s House at your footstep. It’s safe to say that Old City is any history buff’s dream. But the list doesn’t stop there. Take a look at all the historical attractions and map out your own history tour!
Old City can also be considered a mini mecca for art enthusiasts. In fact, even if art isn’t your thing, a quick stroll down the blocks of Old City can easily change your mind. Why? Because it’s pretty hard to escape art while in Old City. With over 55 galleries, you’ll more than likely find a must have art piece that’ll tie your dining room together.
After gandering at the art and historical treasures, you’ll be hungry — and you won’t have to look far. If you’re an out-of-towner searching for mouth-watering cheesesteaks, take a stroll down Market Street to Campo’s or Sonny’s. But if you want to fancy it up a bit, Old City’s restaurants can satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
If it’s the weekend and a 12 a.m. bedtime is out of the question for you, Old City’s night life can help. Just like the art galleries and historical treasures, finding a spot to tear up the dance floor is easy.
Now let’s talk parking. Every Friday and Saturday night from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m., we offer $7 flat-rate parking at our Independence AutoPark. It’s conveniently located under the Independence Visitor Center, so you’ll be ready to hit the ground hot and explore. Here’s the thing though: Parking spaces tend to fill up quickly, so try to arrive as early as possible!
