Where to Park for Wawa’s Welcome America Festival
Sure, Philadelphia is well known for doing big events, but July Fourth has a special feel to it in Philly. In fact ﹘ we start celebrating a week early with Wawa’s Welcome America Festival!
On Saturday, June 27, Wawa’s Welcome America Festivities will get underway. We’re talking everything from block parties to FREE admission to the Franklin Institute and National Constitution Center. Of course, this is all just an appetizer for the huge Welcome America Concert on the Parkway!
Come July Fourth from 7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., more than 100,000 people will flock to the Parkway as The Roots take the stage along with Grammy-winning artists Miguel and Jennifer Nettles. If that isn’t enough, an elaborate fireworks display will be topping off the party on the Parkway! Oh yeah ﹘ if you happen to get really close to up, watch out when Miguel takes the stage. He hasn’t quite perfected the long jump yet.
Now let’s talk parking: With over 100,000 people expected to be in town for the celebrations, it’d be a good idea to plan ahead, which includes finding a parking spot.
